How to ask a horary question
In horary the question is half the work. The chart answers exactly what you ask, so a vague question gets a vague answer and a clear one gets a clear answer.
One question, one matter
Ask about one thing. "Will he call me and will we get married and will my mother accept him?" is three questions with three different houses. Pick the one you care about most and ask that.
Make it concrete
Good questions name a person or a thing and an outcome you could recognise when it happens.
- Will I get the job I interviewed for on Monday?
- Will she reply to my message?
- Will we sell the house this year?
- Where is my wallet?
Add a time frame when it matters
"Will I find a new job?" can be true in ten years. "Will I find a new job before the end of the year?" is a question the chart can actually settle.
Say who the other person is
Your partner, your ex, your boss and your friend sit in different houses. The chart picks a different planet for each, so "Will Alex call me?" works better as "Will my ex Alex call me?".
Questions that do not work
Open questions. "What will happen in my love life?" has no matter for a planet to stand for.
Test questions. Asking only to see if it works tends to produce charts that do not answer.
The same question again. The first sincere asking is the one the chart answers. If nothing has changed, a second chart for the same question does not replace the first.
Questions for a doctor or a lawyer. Horary is symbolic. It is not a diagnosis or legal advice.
When to ask
Ask when the question is really on your mind. The moment you decide to ask is the moment the chart is cast, which is why there is no need to wait for a "good" time.

Does the exact minute matter?
Yes. The rising degree changes roughly every four minutes, and the house rulers change with it. Use the moment you asked, not a rounded time.
Can I ask for someone else?
You can, if they asked you to or the matter really concerns you. The chart is then read from the house of that person.
